Mr. Harris began working for Martin Marietta, a Lockheed Martin predecessor company, in 1979 after receiving his MBA from the University of Virginia.

He began as a financial analyst and planner and later moved into strategic planning and business development roles. He supported an organization in Lockheed Martin with annual sales of over $500M and was responsible for managing annual budgets of $10M-$12M for the marketing and pursuit of new business proposals, principally to the Federal Government. In addition, Peter has been involved for over 25 years in developing long-range business plans at all levels of the corporation.
